Tom,

I can go ahead and open an RFE.

I suspect IBM may have concerns with making “overwrite” the default setting.  Sounds dangerous, but I see the issue that we are facing.

Subject: Toolkit Modification request.

Hi Javier,

We know there are issues with the codebase getting out of sync.  When that happens, the follow “Save Conflict” dialog pops up.

However there are times when this pops ups in the middle of debug or other processes where the user gets it unexpectedly and hit enter without thinking.  This cause code loss because there is no remote directory specified.  We have had discussions with several developers on this.

Can we get this dialog box modified to do these two things?

1.       Change the default selection of the middle radio button (“Overwrite the remote file”)

2.       For the third “save” option, can it be defaulted to a new folder (/home/mzcgck/saved)   in the users home directory?   or worst case, just to (/home/mzcgck)

There is another suggestion about compile, errors and the way it opens up an existing opened file using a new editor that also causes issues.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Tom Gibson
