IMS segments should support triggers, such as could be used for imbedding timestamps without needing application changes

It would be great if IMS had the option of creating triggers that could fire up after INSERT, UPDATE or DELETE operations, to maintain data in segments of the same database without needing application changes

IMS Batch Load Dataset cannot be specified with DD

File Manager IMS Batch load utility only allows us to code the load LDDSN=<dataset name> as a part of $$FILEM statements. It should allow for use of DD like all other File Manager utilities.
