#line directive causing source to not be intermixed in ASM listing

Sometimes C source code is embedded within generated pseudo assembly listings via the LIST option, like:

00012E 50D0 E004 000008 | ST r13,4(,r14)
000132 18DE 000008 | LR r13,r14
000134 End of Prolog

000009 | * {
000010 | * return foo();
000134 58F0 302A 000010 | L r15,=V(foo)(,r3,42)
000138 0DEF 000010 | BASR r14,r15
000011 | * }
00013A 000011 | @1L3 DS 0H

00013A Start of Epilog
00013A 180D 000011 | LR r0,r13
00013C 58D0 D004 000011 | L r13,4(,r13)

, while other times the source isn't embedded at all and is included at the very bottom of the assembly listing section.

This appears to be caused by usage of the #line preprocessing directive. If this directive is present, then the C source doesn't get embedded in the listing. If the directive is commented out, the code embeds back into the listing.

    IBM XL C/C++ for z/OS is a continuous delivery offering, and aims to satisfy the needs of a rapidly evolving market segment.
    Product strategy evolves and requirements are continuously evaluated against that strategy. This RFE has recently been reappraised against the wider product strategy and does not fall into IBMs delivery plans for the next 12 month.
    Whilst this RFE might be valid and we might look to deliver longer term, this RFE is being rejected at this time. The requirement will be kept in our internal RFE backlog and might be reassessed in the future.

    Moving this RFE to uncommitted candidate state. This RFE will be updated once put into a plan for a future release.

    This RFE is still being investigated further.
