RELATED IDEAS

URT license tracking for Open XLC/C++ v17

AIX XLC/C++ licenses purchased from IBM are user based (shared or named).

The external auditors appointed by IBM, request/collect several times per year the URT statistics (supported until XLC/C++ v16) to check license compliancy.

With Open XlC/C++ URT is not supported. So the IBM auditors have method to see if we remain compliant with out license usage.


Hence the request to add support to URT in Open XLC/C++ v17.0.1

    SLM tags are now available in V17.1.1 PTF1 which can be downloaded from here:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/fix-list-xl-cc-aix

    License tracking will be available only via SLM tags in V17.1.1 via an upcoming PTF. URT tool is no longer a tool that will be supported in V17.1.x (or later).

    This idea is being accepted to track the SLM tag delivery via an upcoming V17.1.1 PTF.
