Ability to group CICS regions together and start IA Collection process `by group`.

From a recent workshop for CICS IA with PNC

·      Customer has hundreds of CICS regions on their current environment and would like to group them into Dev, Prod and Application based regions.

·      Once grouped, customer would like to start CICS IA collection process for a desired group.

·      There is currently an option (ALL) that will start a collection in all regions (hundreds) - but cannot isolate to a few sets of regions as desired. 

·      An alternative is to turn on the collection Process one by one for each region manually – which is time consuming.

 In Customer’s words:

 “Let’s say I have 100s of regions and I only want to start a collection 10 regions.  Rather than find each region and start it with the ‘1’ option one-by-one, is there an implementation where I can have a GROUPA, GROUPB, GROUPC etc option and select that select that with a  ‘1’ to start a collection in a subset of regions at once? “

 Reviewed with Mohit Padwa from HCL Software:

 “Currently, CICS IA doesn't provide any option to group the required CICS regions as mentioned above. If you want us to provide this feature, then please raise a Request for Enhancement (RFE).
