This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This is something we would like to address, but not for 4.2. The RFE is being moved into 'Planned for Future release' status. Please note:
IBM’s statements regarding its plans, directions, and intent are subject to change or withdrawal without notice at IBM’s sole discretion. Information regarding potential future products is intended to outline our general product direction and it should not be relied on in making a purchasing decision. The information mentioned regarding potential future products is not a commitment, promise, or legal obligation to deliver any material, code or functionality. Information about potential future products may not be incorporated into any contract. The development, release, and timing of any future features or functionality described for our products remains at our sole discretion.
A suggestion for the trial. When running into any issues or problems it would be beneficial to have a support team for handling these issues. Currently there is no one to officially to turn to since the IBM LINK team will not review Trial products.
This is being reopened as an uncommitted candidate. There may be a way to do this in a future release of the developer trial and we are investigating that. Note the potential solution would not apply to any developer trial versions that came before it. Please continue to comment if this is still a requirement.
To add to the last comment, CSD's, DREP's and other configuration and programmatic artifacts (such as exits, programs, etc) that are created using the CICS TS V4.2 Developer Trial will be compatible with future CICS TS V4.2 Developer Trial releases, as well as the full GA CICS TS V4.2 production release. Since these artefacts will not need to be recreated, this should still significantly reduce the time taken to move to an updated (no charge) Developer Trial release, and eventually, the full (chargeable) production CICS TS V4.2 release.
Thanks for the RFE. This was considered but rejected in terms of its practicability. Because its a separate FMID the apar concerned would have to include the full CICS code! It also probably would not make a huge amount of difference in terms of time and effort saved.
