We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

There is an unfortunate by-product of both the CICS Integrated Translator and the DB2 co-processor where COBOL working storage items do not appear in COBOL compiler listings but do appear when specifying the LIST parameter as a compile parameter. When using the CICS translator / DB2 pre-processor the CICS commands / SQL statements are translated and inserted into the COBOL code which is then provided as input into the COBOL compiler. The COBOL compiler prints out the code as received which will include the modifications made by the CICS translator / DB2pre-processor whereas when using the CICS integrated Translator / DB2 co-processor all the compiler sees is the input stream as coded and dynamically calls the required module when it sees a CICS or SQL statement.

There is nothing we(CICS/DB2) can do about this and it needs to be directed to COBOL.
