CICS has to provide status information if Lost Locks recovery is taking place

A customer has deactivated a production LPAR because of an error. All the affected CICS regions were restarted on another machine. The AORs did perform lost lock recovery (VSAM RLS) and were operable again after about 1 hour 50
minutes.

There was a gap of 1 hour 40 minutes between messages DFHFC0555 and DFHFC0101I (between CICS will perform lost lock recovery /and/ FC initialization has ended).

CICS should be changed is that way that it issues regular updates/messages indicating that "lost lock recovery" is still ongoing and it should provide information like they can get with the output from IDCAMS SHCDS LISTSUBSYS(ALL), restricted to the local region (showing th status of the recovery).

This would be similar to logger message DFHLG0747I. This message is issued every 500 log reads (or AKPFREQ/2), whichever is smaller. CICS could do a similar thing during lost locks recovery, after every (say?) 100 lost locks calls. However, since they would normally be expected to be processed quicker than this, there should also be a time delay factor in the issuing of the messages, for example after every 100 (say) lost locks complete calls to VSAM, >and< it
is at least 5 minutes since the previous issuance of the message.

This is something we would like to address. The RFE is being moved into 'Planned for Future release' status.  Please note:
