Provide Full BAS support within CICS Explorer

The WUI has features (i.e. BAS) that are required in the CICS Explorer
to make it more robust and useful. The following are examples of those
features:
- RASGNDEF (Resource Assignment Definition) or facility to create,
display, modify, and delete this information
- RESINDSC (Resource groups in description) or facility to create,
display, modify, and delete this information
- RESINGRP (Resource Definitions in Resource Group) or facility to
create, display, modify, and delete this information
- RASINDSC (Resource assignments in resource description) or facility to
create, display, modify, and delete this information
- SYSLINK (CICS system link definitions) or facility to create, display,
modify, and delete this information
- CSYSDEF (CICS system definitions) or facility to create, display,
modify, and delete this information
- CONNDEF (ISC/MRO connection definitions) or facility to create,
display, modify, and delete this information
- MAS (MASs known to CICSplex)
- On the Local Transaction display (LOCTRAN), the WUI displays the
limits and allows the user to continue. The CICS Explorer displays
messages, but no opportunity to continue or retrieve a partial list. The
ability to retrieve the first items in the list can not be accomplished
without prior knowledge of the characters used to define those items.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in eighteen months time if you wish it to be considered then.

Adding BAS capability to the cics explorer is a good idea. Especially since IBM plans to kill the WUI interface to CPSM. If the cics explorer does not get enhanced to do the same things that BAS currrently can do, then CICS TS 5.1 will become the cics release used by many shops for many, many years because the conversion effort to a newer, but non-WUI, non-BAS release, would be very dificult.

May I request one more feature? Although not directly related to the issue stated, the ability to print the information presented in the CICS Explorer is severely lacking. Please provide either (A) an option to print directly from CICS Explorer, or (B) the ability to cut (from CICS Explorer) and subsequently paste to another application with print capabilities.
