Review LE Options for Performance

Severe customer slowdown in TCP/IP SSL processing was determined to be caused by the LE parameters in use by CICS, which are configured to not take advantage of HEAPPOOLS processing. Specific parameter settings recommendations have been made by LE Level 2 support; however the possibility of undesirable side affects for other parts of CICS that use the LE interface, as well as the extensive testing that would be required for this type of change, were cited as reasons that this performance problem must be addressed as a Requirement.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:

    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

    This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected.
