CICS Return Code Propagation to CTG

We require that CICS propagate full abend code details to the CICS Transaction Gateway when connected using the IPIC protocol. Currently some abend codes, such as AKCC, are not provided to the
Transaction Gateway and thus cannot be passed back to the client application. This results in a generic error being returned, and this in turn requires additional investigation to ensure real and significant
problems are not affecting the system. IPIC should return full details of any CICS Abend such that the CICS TG can return a specific and useful return code to the client application. For example, in the case of the AKCC abend in CICS, this should result in an ECI_ERR_TRANSACTION_ABEND error in the CICS TG application, with the abend code of AKCC being provided.

We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
