Better way to handle DFHLG0772 in certain circumstances

An RLS workload had been running in a CICS/TS 3.2 region without any problems for some time and after some period of time the CICS issued the following error message:
+DFHLG0772 CIC1AA03 An error has occurred during MVS logger operation
IXGWRITE for log stream ADSW.CICSVR.F04DL1. MVS logger codes: X'00000008'
took an SDUMP, then reported the same error codes attempting to disconnect from this forward recovery stream, took a second dump and quiesced the file.
Quiescing this CICS from the active worklaod and unquisecing the RLS files showed other regions successfully using the file but on making this region active in the workload once more caused the cycle to repeat.
Whilst restarting the region eventually resolved the issue, the reason code indicates that logger was reporting the logstream token had expired (presumably for reasons unknown no work had been performed on the file by the region for a period of time but does ask the question whether CICS could / should have simply reopened the logstream.

    This RFE is satisfied by CICS TS 5.4 which was generally available from June 16th 2017.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:

    This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.
