DFHJUP step completes with a code zero although DFHLG0192 error message

When running the DFHJUP utility with OPTION PRINT and selecting a time which is not present in the logstream you end up with the following error messages:

DFHLG0192 ERROR IN MVS LOGGER MACRO IXGBRWSE FOR REQUEST START SEARCH MVS LOGGER CODES X'00000008' X'00000804'

DFHLG0193 CICSP.PYDZ6CIP.DFHLOG

This actually means NO BLOCK FOUND. This is not surprising since the log stream does not contain data for the time period selected. The real point is the job step completes with condition code 0000 and anyone running an automation tool will assume the job has worked correctly, which you could say it has, but failed to warn that there is no output.

Could you please give consideration to altering this behaviour in DFHJUP of the cond code 0000 and alter this to a cond code of 0004 which warns of a potential problem.

    This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the twelve months, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software

    Product - CICS Transaction Server

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
