This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Transaction Processing
Product - CICS Transaction Server
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Transaction Processing
Product - CICS Transaction Server
Closing this requirement as there is nothing CICS can do. As noted previously CICS IA can detect and report on dynamic calls.
We do not have
CICS Interdependency Analyzer
I am talking about a dynamic call and the EXEC CICS LOAD is only done the first time the program is called.
My specific issue is that I am trying to debug a storage violation. I have CSFE DEBUG on.
We have CBLPSHPOP on. I see pages of PUSH and POPs in the trace. But the called programs do no EXEC CICS commands so I can't get any clues about which specific programs are being called.
This is what prompted me to submit my 'wish list' that CICS or LE would write a trace record indicating what program is being called.
Maybe it's not possible, but just thought I would ask.
For static calls there is very little we can do as CICS is not involved, its a simple branch and link from one program to another.
For dynamic calls it too is a branch and link except that LE will EXEC CICS LOAD the program.
Are you aware that CICS Interdependency Analyzer has support for detection of Cobol Dynamic calls? If the CBLPSHPOP, is active, then it can detect the PUSH and POP handle commands issued by LE during initialization and termination.
