PEM support for TCPIP

Customer has a billing application that uses CICS CLIENT APPC PEM to the tune of about 1200 seats. They have been using this facility since the mid 90s and in order to migrate to ECI over TCPIP whenever ANYNET will become discontinued in the Z/OS Communications suite, they will need something equivalent.

Applications using ESI Version 1 (likely in combination with ECI Version 1) and SNA APPC connectivity can be migrated to use ESI Version 2 (and ECI Version 2), with some changes to the application source code. ESI Version 2 applications connect through the Gateway daemon, which offers IPIC connections as a strategic replacement for ECI over TCPIP.

CICS Transaction Gateway V8.1 added support for ESI requests over (TCP/IP-based) IPIC connections, when used in combination with CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V4.1, or later, and provided the ESI Version 2 API. Therefore, this requirement can be satisfied through the use of:
    - ESI Version 2 API
    - IPIC connections
    - CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V4.1, or later
    and one of:

    - CICS Transaction Gateway for z/OS V8.1, or later

    - CICS Transaction Gateway for Multiplatforms V8.1, or later

    - CICS Transaction Gateway Desktop Edition V8.1, or later

Full details about CICS Transaction Gateway V8.1 can be found in the announcement letter:
