CICS Web Support to provide a parameter to change the timeout value for the first request

CICS Web Support to provide a parameter to change the timeout value for the first request. This parameter would be an equivalent parameter to the InputTimeout one that exists in the Http Server (5.3). The customer knows that CICS behaviour is to wait 30 seconds for the first request, then for subsequent requests it would wait the configured amount (10 seconds) before closing the socket.

Further clarification to the previous comment which documented the apars providing support in CICS TS 4.2, 5.1 and 5.2. In CICS TS 5.3, enhancements to CICS Web support mean CWXN is not being used then there isn't a CICS problem or a need to configure anything in CICS. All the waiting for data is done in TCPIP and CICS is not even notified of the new connection until the data has arrived.

This RFE is satisfied by CICS TS 5.3 which was generally available from December 11th 2015. Support is also provided in CICS TS 4.2 via APAR PI39026 and in CICS TS 5.1 and 5.2 via APAR PI31452. The change altered the initial timeout value from the fixed 30 seconds to the DTIMEOUT value specified for the CWXN (or user replacement) transaction.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:

    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server
