Reserve task slots for PIPELINE transaction context switches to be able to complete.

When the PIPELINE task performs a context switch to change the userid it will then require 2 tasks to complete the Web Service request. If new requests flood the system then it is possible to have all the available task slots filled with transactions that are the first half of a pair to process a request. The second task never gets to run. When the CPIH transaction has DTIMOUT set to 0 it means they won't timeout on their own.


Request a way to tell CICS to reserve task slots for PIPELINE transaction context switches so we don't use up all available task slots with 'front-end' transactions causing CICS to Hang.

    This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in eighteen months time if you wish it to be considered then.
