Excessive spurious dumps in CICS

CICS produces an AP0001 dump for exceptions that Language Environment allows a retry operation. These exceptions are treated as non-errors in LE yet they are recorded in CICS and dumps are produced. Excesive abend processing
in CICS and dump will cause performance problems.
Here are 3 examples:
Exponent-Overflows in CEE4MLT will cause CICS to record the abend and create a dump yet LE allows a retry and the application receives the correct results. Page-translation exceptions in CEEV#FH will cause CICS to record the abend and create a dump, yet a retry returns control back to the application without any error indicators.
Segment-translation and Protection exceptions occur in LE dump and trace formatters will
cause CICS to record the errors while the retry allows LE to continue on without problems.
CICS and LE needs an error mechanism that will allow spurious errors to be ignored.

    This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.
