DESCRIPT : If a transaction is defined shutdown disabled and is running WITHOUT a terminal, nevertheless the transaction is starting up in the PLTSD-processing. IBM said, that CICS is working as designed. But this is a failure! Tehe problem is documented in the PMR 14207 Also: In our production-systems we have a lot of background-transactions running with DB2 and IMS for generating printoutput. During Shutdown we get problems with this transactions because they can start during shutdown. In this case we get SDUMP AP0002. We need the TRANSACTION-parameter SHUTDOWN(ENABLED/DISABLED) also for this background-transactions

    This was fixed in CICS TS 2.1. A START command fails with INVREQ and RESP2 of 17 is attempted during shutdown and the transid specfies SHUTDOWN(DISABLED)
