This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

… the SPI.
Result: It does not function. See pmr 88588,077,724.
We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
At next with the bypass "As a workaround a PLT program could issue EXEC CICS CSD INSTALL LIST(xxxx)." we can living if it works.
For a longer time the maintenance of PLT programs is too cumbersome.
And: 20 list parameters for a GRPLIST (instead four) should be sufficient.
As a workaround a PLT program could issue EXEC CICS CSD INSTALL LIST(xxxx).
It is stated that four is not sufficient but does not say how many are required, 10, 100 ? Whatever the number, it will satisfy one person, but not another. Wildcards frees you from a static number.
Wildcards are sometimes helpful. But if selective lists are to be selected, which are all stored on one CSD file, this does not help. Both are required: Wildcards and more than four GRPLIST parameters. Generic data (= wildcards) can also lead to incompatibilities in a CICS.
Each of the four names in the GRPLIST parameter can be wildcarded, so with careful choosing of list names you can have a large number of lists installed. Why isn't this sufficient ?
