In the moment we need a PPT definition for each JAVA program. This is not good and should be changed ASAP.

This requirement is satisfied by CICS TS 5.1 which is generally available December 14th 2012.

CICS today supports autoinstall for Java programs. Yes you need to add some code to the autoinstall exit to specify the classname to be used.

In CICS TS 5.1 this is improved with our support for application bundles that allow you to package up all things that make up a business application including declaring its dependencies. You can specify that a program definition is required, and CICS will create the definition using information from the bundle.

    Hello IBM,
I notice that „auto install for JAVA programs” is supported.
But it is very important that this is possible in the same and simple way as for classic programs (in Assembler, COBOL, PL1 and C(++)).
In other words: Defining argument and technical criterion must be the PPT - entry without dependencies (for example to the JVMCLASS).
    Regards, Claus Reis
