RELATED IDEAS

Current CICS transaction security paradigm lacking for new CICS entry points

We would like CICS to have a better security interface at the program level without having to implement full blown PPT security checking to better support all of the new entry points into CICS where IBM transactions are the initiator.

    This RFE is satisfied by CICS TS 5.2 with its application multi-versioning support if sensitive programs are private and keep behind an entrypoint with security. We prevent DFHMIRS from invoking a private program unless it is part of the same application. Public programs are still accessible of course.
