CICS IMMQUIESCE NOWAIT does not work

issuing an IMMQUIESCE with a QUIESCE outstanding does not work. The IMMQUIESCE command is answered with a DFHFC6001 Dataset Quiesced messaged, but the transaction holding the file is not cancelled. The command will only work after the first quiesce times out (quiestim CICS option).

    Please note that we no longer need this RFE as we no longer use Quiesce/Unquiesce when opening/closing VSAM/RLS files. Instead, we send requests to open/close VSAM/RLS files to each region where the file is defined and we avoid all of the problems we were having with Quiesce/Unquiesce.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:

    This is a candiadte for inclusion in a future release. It is likely to be in the longer term rather than short term, as it may well require changes to DFSMS VSAM RLS as well.
