Reduce recovery time for CICSPlex SM CMAS or network outage to 30 minutes or less to be more consistent with other z/OS subsystem recovery times such as DB2.

In a CICSplex consisting of hundreds or thousands of connected CICS MASes with a large CMAS network of 15-20 or more connected CMASes, the loss of an LPAR or one or more CMASes in the network can result in unpredictable recovery times for one or more CICSPlex SM components. Inability to successfully restart CPSM WLM routing TORs on other LPARs due to CMAS network topology inconsistencies and critical CPSM API batch processes timing out are typical in a failed CICSplex when attempting to recover the status of the CMAS network and reconnect or rejoin hundreds of MASes.

    This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.
