Allow multiple URIMaps pointing to same URI/URL

With the URIMap vs. URI changes introduced in CICS 4.x, the API now allows a CICS application to specify a particular URIMap with particular connection details to off-host web functions. However, likely for legacy support of URI specification (vs. URIMap specification), URIMaps in a CICS region must be unique to a hostname, port, and path combination. Such a "globally unique" requirement should not be needed for applications using the newer API methodology. A method to earmark a URIMap to only function in the newer API methodology should be introduced so that these URIMaps can coexist.

This requirement has been re-assessed. It is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12-24 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

Agreed. Applications would like to define a Client URIMAP resource with a resource name that associates the resource with the particular client application (i.e. the URIMAP resource contains an application id.)
However, a 2nd application using a URIMAP resource with a name that associates the resource with the 2nd application, currently can't have that URIMAP pointing to the same host/port/path as the 1st application.
This seems like an unnecessary restriction on URIMAP resource naming.
