Access to URIMAP ID in converter program

When developing software that uses CICS Web Support, I needed access the URIMAP ID in the converter, and later on in the application program, for the URIMAP that fired the web request. The analyzer does have that information but it is not passed to the converter. As a work around I am now doing a GETMAIN SHARED in the analyzer for passing the URIMAP ID and passing the pointer of that address to the converter, which frees it immediately after copying the URIMAP ID. Though this works, I would not prefer to make this my final solution.

I mentioned this to Mark Cocker, who advised me to raise this RFE, and he suggested, instead of extending the information passed between analyzer and converter programs, it might make more sense to extend the EXTRACT TCPIP command.

The required functionality can be achieved by using an EXEC CICS WEB EXTRACT command or an EXEC CICS EXTRACT WEB command with the URIMAP option. The documentation incorrectly stated that the URIMAP option was not relevant when CICS is a HTTP server. This is incorrect. The railroad diagrams for the commands are being updated as are the descriptions of the URIMAP keyword. Those updates will be available next month when the CICS Knowledge Centers are refreshed.

Meanwhile here is the updated description for URIMAP

    URIMAP(data-area)
For CICS as an HTTP server, this option returns the 8-character name (in mixed case) of the URIMAP that matched the inbound request. The name is blank if the request did not match a URIMAP.
For CICS as an HTTP client (with the SESSTOKEN option), this option returns the 8-character name (in mixed case) of any URIMAP definition that was specified on the WEB OPEN command to open the connection specified by the SESSTOKEN option. The INQUIRE URIMAP command can be used to find information about the attributes of this URIMAP definition.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server
