Allow management of CTG as a CICSPlex SM Component

From this customer's point of view, it would be very useful if a CTG could be viewed as some kind of a special "CICSPlex component", so that it can be monitored (and maybe controlled) not only from a common user interface (which is offered by the CICS Explorer) but also "via a single connection into the CICSPlex" which could possibly be the CMCI interface of the WUI.

The customers request is driven by a cross-system IP-connection routing and connection policy they, which disallows CICS Explorer "intranet" users connecting to the CTG statistics port, as the CTG must sit on another IP "internet" stack and no traffic is allowed to be forwarded between the IP stacks.

This approach of managing CTG as a CICSPlex component is currently not supported at all by the existing CPSM architecture. CPSM is not aware of CTG at all, and there is no concept of an "administrative link" between a CICS region and a CTG.

As yet, we are not aware of any other customer raising a similar request - but customers have just started to become aware of managing the CTG's via CICS Explorer and the CTG statistic port functions, so probably most of them aren't using it yet productively and the requirement could come from other customers in the future.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.
