CICS Explorer Connections Import including Truststore

We currently share connections via plugin_customization.ini zFS .pref file links referenced by a TCPIPSERVICE/URIMAP definition pair. We have a requirement to change the TCPIPSERVICE Defs to SSL=Yes. We really need to be able to pre-configure the truststore to accommodate SSL=Yes prior to the rollout of a new release to our users.

CICS Development: We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point.

    Hi,

I think you can achieve what you're after right now. I've tried to explain it better in this blog post - https://medium.com/@dave.nice/trusting-in-cics-explorer-338ef5a27d2c - it involves adding certificates to the package before you distribute it to your users. I think this suggested solution will be exactly what you're aiming to do.

If we were going to take an RFE I think it would be to change the way the connections import behaves so that it reads from the same truststore as the CMCI connection, and has the "should I trust this server pop-up". So that would probably be the solution to this RFE, as specified in your use case.

But I think the mechanism I described in the blog post would be more useful to you without having to wait for us to fulfil the RFE and I'd be happy to discuss it further.
