Abend task if target program specified on PCT not DFHMIRS

On a DPL and Mirror Tranid Specified, Abend task if target program specified on target CICS PCT not DFHMIRS.

We use a lot of zCEE and CTG.

Been running into issues where CICS Administrator, specifies the target program name (application program ID), rather than DFHMIRS. This results in S0C4 in the program specified; sometimes on EXEC CICS command; or other bad things.

It may be beneficial; if the transformer into CICS or other facility, can detect that,

  • 'This is a DPL'

  • 'PCT specified; not CSMI'

  • 'PCT tranid not DFHMIRS'

All three criteria met; abend and WTO or CSSL an error message.

Could save some debugging time; especially if the issue is promoted to production causing an application outage.

    CICS Development: We agree with the sentiment that this would be good to police, but in reality it is not practically possible. The code that would do such policing would be in transforrmer code but this is invoked from the mirror program, so if you haven't started a task that has invoked DFHMIRS, then its too late.
