Hello,
Currently CICS TS does not support web services requester in JSON format as mentioned in manual :https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cics-ts/6.x?topic=services-planning-json-service-requester-application.
As a result, our application team has been required to implement additional processes to translate SOAP messages into JSON. This not only adds complexity to our workflows but also increases the potencial for errors and delays.
We kindly request the CICS Team to consider implemeting native support for JSON requestes in webservices without having to use z/OS Connect or the Web support API commands.
This enhancement would streamline our operations and improve overall efficiency, enabling us to leverage modern web servides standard more effectively.
Make CICS/TS able to built-in support for requester mode JSON Web services, without having to use z/OS Connect or the Web support API commands.
Currently, we need to develop processes to convert SOAP requests to the JSON external provider.
Thank you,
Alisson
