This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This RFE is satisfied by CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V5.5 which is GA today 14th December 2018.
This RFE is satisfied by CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V5.5 which is announced today 2nd October 2018 and which has a planned availability date of 14th December 2018.
For more information see the CICS TS V5.5 announcement letter https://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/ShowDoc.wss?docURL=/common/ssi/rep_ca/2/897/ENUS218-352/index.html&request_locale=en
The ability to summarize in the WUI has been replicated and enhanced in the CICS TS open beta (with accompanying CICS Explorer open beta) as aggregation: https://developer.ibm.com/cics/2018/01/23/cics-explorer-v5-5-open-beta-aggregation/.
Please try out the open beta and give your feedback in this RFE or by following this instruction: https://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/289677/how-do-i-give-feedback-on-the-cics-ts-open-beta.html
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Transaction Processing
Product - CICS Transaction Server
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Transaction Processing
Product - CICS Transaction Server
Use cases:
1- Local or dynamic transactions (WUI Resource name: LOCTRAN)
Sometimes a transaction is disabled only in some CICS Regions and we use summarization by 'Enabled Status' in order to select all entries that are "disabled" so that we can enable all at the same time.
2- Programs (WUI Resource name: PROGRAM)
Summarize by "Load Data set name" in order to load new copy only to the programs loaded from a certain dataset name. In WUI I can select a unique box and "new copy" all the entries. In Explorer it is needed to filter by data set name, select all and then "new copy".
3- Local Files (WUI Resource name: LOCFILE)
Scenario:
Scope containing a group of CICS Regions
File ID contains a wild card
Summarize by file name.
Summarize by open status and after expanding an entry, summarize by file name.
4- Dispatcher TCB modes (WUI Resource name: DSPMODE)
Summarize by TCB mode name.
5- CICS system dump codes (WUI Resource name: SYSDUMP)
Summarize by System Dump Code.
It is useful when we put the entire CICSPlex in the scope. Summarizing becomes easier to see which are the most frequent system dump codes of all CICS Regions managed.
