Cics Explorer Developer Edition

We want to use the Cics Explorer, but we have the problem, that if we give the Cics Explorer to the Developers they will see everything. This will cause many questions, why we have made things like we did them and also will take a lot of work to show the developers where they can find the things they realy need and should do.

The Solution of this Problem is very simple. Just make a Cics explorer Edition for developers, where you inklude only the needed views and perspectives. In our case this would be all the cloud applictaion stuff stuff. The funktionallity in fact could stay the same only remove the views.

At the moment even if a view is not shown, you can enable it and this is realy not good.

A better Solution would be to have a config file on the mainframe, where you can tell the cics explorer what is someone allowed to see, but this would be much more to implement.

This RFE is satisfied by CICS TS 5.3 which is generally available from December 11th 2015.

CICS Explorer 5.3 provides the ability to customise views to only display what the user requires. The views can then be added to customisable menu lists
