Possibility to use transaction isolation with the DFHMIRS program

The DFHMIRS program that carries out the request is defined with an EXECKEY of CICS. A CICS-key program has read and write access to CICS-key and user-key storage of its own task and all other tasks, whether or not traniso is active.
In summary, there isn't any method to use transaction isolation with the DFHMIRS program.”

We have assessed this requirement. We have no plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point.

    ,
DFHMIRS is a CICS supplied program. It runs CICS key as it uses CICS internal services and accesses CICS control blocks. Transaction isolation is to protect one user transaction from overwriting another user transaction's storage. If CICS supplied DFHMIRS program was ever to overwrite storage of another transaction, then that is an APAR and we would fix it. If DFHMIRS is driven because of a DPL request, then DFHMIRS will EXEC CICS LINK to the user program which can be defined as EXECKEY(USER) and so the DPLed to user program can run in its own subspace if transaction isolation is active.

We have no plans for DFHMIRS to run in a subspace. It will continue to run CICS key and run in basespace.
