CMAS repository synchronization fails during Non-MP CMAS Upgrade after applying UK58439.

After applying PM13554/UK58439, Upgrading the non-MP CMAS fails when MASs are started before repository synchronization takes place to re-import the cicsplex.

The customer started the upgrad to the non-MP by running EYU9XDUT which produced messages :
EYUXD0716W The data repository may be incomplete for CICSplex (CICPLEX1).
EYUXD0716W The data repository may be incomplete for CICSplex (CICPLEX2).

The EYUXD0716W message explanation has a User Response that says:
Restart this CMAS with the upgraded data repository. Before any MASs connect to this CMAS, it must connect to the Maintenance Point CMAS. This results in this CMAS performing repository synchronization with the Maintenance Point CMAS. Because the utility has noted that this CMAS's repository is incomplete for this CICSplex, the CICSplex is removed from and then re-added to this CMAS's repository as part of the repository synchronization process."

When the customer IPLs, automation starts both the non-MP CMAS and MASs for the cicsplex named in the EYUXD0716W message.

Repository Synchronization fails because the MASs have connected before the re-import of the cicsplex can take place. An sdump is produced and the non-MP is isolated at the request of the MP CMAS.

The requirement is to improve the CMAS upgrade process, by having CPSM allow the re-import of the CICSPlex to complete before allowing the MASs to connect.

This would prevent the repository synchronization from failing and isolating the CMAS.

    This requirement has been re-evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.
