"Summarized active target region distribution trends" in WUI needs additional information

EYUSTARTWLMATARG.TABULAR2 view in the WUI, "Summarized active target region distribution trends" gives the total number of Route Selections for each target region. That field is RTSELECT, and it is populated from data in the AOR descriptor.
While it tells you the total number of times the region was selected, it does NOT give the number of times that it was selected due to an affinity, and therefore was the ONLY possible choice.
For customers who are implementing Sysplex Optimized Workloads in CPSM, which can offer more even distribution patterns (especially when using link-neutral algorithms) having this additional information about the total route selections influenced by an affinity will help them better understand the effectiveness of optimization in their environment.
For example, after resetting the statistics, if you have 4 regions, and 8000 total transactions are routed among them. WLMATARG view may show you:

Region Route
Name Selections
CICS1 1000
CICS2 1000
CICS3 1000
CICS4 5000

No abends occurred, no region stress situations (MXT, SOS, etc.) All regions are clones of each other and the customer expected a more even distribution. At first this looks like an uneven distribution as if SOW wasn't working properly. But if CICS4 was selected 4000 of the 5000 times because an existing affinity, that would explain the discrepancy.

We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
