This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This RFE is being rejected as we believe that using JSR352 in CICS Liberty and using the JCICS API to access resources would essentially turn batch workload into online workload but retaining the QOS that Batch processing provides (or at least as JSR352 mandates).
The intuition is an elimination of the dependencies between the batch and the online transactions in Liberty and the classic CICS which are running in one (CICS) address space.
In other words, if a CICS with all resources is available for the legacy applications and Liberty, we can get a problem within the CICS, if these are exclusively required in the batch or in CICS. Possibly the CICS must be terminated for batch operation.
Or am I wrong?
Can you expand a bit on this requirement please? The Batch Applications for the Java Platform (JSR-352) standard is now supported for CICS TS V5.3 with Liberty as announced in October 2016. Does this not meet your requirements?
