CICS/TS - USS enhancements

In order to keep the USS files and programs synchronized with the LOAD LIBRARIES (LPA etc.) we currently have these options:
1. Separate SMP/E environment for each stage (development, system test etc.). This requires PTFs to be applied for each stage, which introduces an exposure. Also, LPALIB and LINKLIST entries will still have to be only one entry.
2. Separate USS file systems for each stage. IBM delivered scripts currently have hard-coded entries for directory names, which means manual updates will be required every time there are PTFs applied.
----------------------
This RFE is to introduce symbolic substitution in all IBM-supplied scripts in USS, plus a "stage configuration file" that will supply the correct directory names for each stage. This, combined with a separate USS file system for each stage, will allow for USS modules, scripts and files to be in synchronization with the load modules as they are propagated through the stages.

We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

Just to confirm our understanding of this RFE. You would like the ability to be able to move the zFS directory structure between locations (post installation), when the zFS files are moved to their new location there is some mechanism to change the locations within the provided Web Services Assistant Scripts (for example DFHWS2LS / DFHLS2WS etc).
