Need a new transaction equivalent to CEMT INQUIRE

The auditors want reports on who has accessed critical transactions such as CEMT. Even though we have our security definitions set up so most users can only use INQUIRE with CEMT, SMF simply reports a user executed CEMT with no further breakdown.

If there were a different transaction (eg CEMI) which is the equivalent of CEMT INQUIRE, we could use this to INQUIRE and save CEMT for SET, PERFORM and DISCARD.

This requirement has been re-assessed. It is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12-24 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

This would be an extremely useful enhancement, similar to offering CEDC for read-only access to the CSD. In our shop, we have had to deliver in-house alterenatives to various CEMT INQ functions, in order to suitably restrict CEMT access in production. A CEMI or similar inquire-only alias for CEMT would save a lot of in-house code maintenance.
