Please confirm which product/component in CICS was receiving the JSON request. For example was it CICS Liberty JVM server? z/OS Connect in CICS? or CICS Webservices? or an Axis 2 JVM server with JSON pipeline parsing capability? or an OSGi JVM server using the base JERSEY function for JAX-RS/JSON? Depending upon the use-case there are different implementations - we want to ensure the correct technology owner reviews the RFE. Thanks.

This RFE is for Java to follow the spec and ignore the character case, such as the lower case being provided by CICS. Associated request 110983 is for CICS to follow the more standard capitalization. As such, I believe that this RFE needs to be implemented by the maintainers of Java.

Please refer to the PMR for more details, but CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V5.3 is generating all lower case "content-type: application/json"
