There is requirement to transfer huge pay files to/from CICS over TCPIPS. Currently the maximum data length is being increased to support this increase. If the .gzip facility is available, CICS would be able to support huge files without need to continuously increase TCPIP data length depending on the growing business needs.
This is a candidate for a future release.
