DFHPI1008 diagnostic enhancements

Message DFHPI1008 includes some limited diagnostics to help identify the cause of a problem. Additional details would help to pinpoint the specific cause. e.g.
==> DFHPI1008 03/01/2014 14:25:36 PRTICICS 00748 XML generation failed because of incorrect input (DATA_STRUCTURE_TOO_SMALL 80) for WEBSERVICE T1Requester.
* In this example it is not clear which of many possible structures is too small - only the expected length. The following additional items would be helpful:
- container name of the structure that is too small
- actual length of the container
- name of the structure

In all variants of DFHPI1008, it would seem that the name of the container being processed at the time of the failure would provide additional context.

Any additional details help in such a situation.

This requirement has been re-assessed. It is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12-24 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

The following is another example of diagnostics that don't really help to identify the problem:

DFHPI1008 13/10/2014 21:34:46 PRTVCICS 01697 XML generation failed because of incorrect input (CONTAINER_NOT_FOUND ..) for WEBSERVICE getPolicy.

In this example, a 'child' container is not found because the storage in the 'parent' container is misaligned with the wsbind file specification. (The child container name shows as x'40400000'.)

It would be most helpful if the diagnostic message gave the name of the 'parent' container that was being processed - because then (based on the naming convention used for containers) we could determine which program created the parent container. That would be the program that has a copybook layout that is misaligned with the wsbind file.

    Thanks.

This is a candidate for inclusion in a future release.
