Possibility to use a VSAM PATH in a //EYUDREP DD card

In our implementation, we are using PATH and ALIAS in our CICS JCL in order to access physical files without having to worry about changing procedures whenever we apply maintenance or change a physical file for any reason.

We already submitted a RFE (107912) which has been implemented in 5.5 for certain files but we still have an issue in our CMASes with the EYUDREP which caused us several production problems (68336 661 706 and 39468 661 706) when, unfortunately, we forgot this exception in our rules.

It would be great that EYUDREP (and every other file I may have not have discovered yet) could be addressed via a VSAM PATH instead of its actual VSAM name. Same for ALIAS and regular files.

    Support for this is provided in CICS TS 6.1 which is generally available from 17th June 2022.

    Support for this is provided in CICS TS 6.1 which is announced today April 5th and will GA June 17th 2022.
