(CICS)WebServices must be retrievable from the batch

(CICS)Web services must be retrievable from the batch.
Reason: In the moment the WebServices from the batch are called with the 'detour' via the CICS. This is cumbersome and too costly. The call must be possible directly in the batch.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

I think we should discuss the theme on the next German CICS guide.

We have no plans to provide a Web Services stack outside of CICS for use by Batch programs. A batch application can make out-bound calls off-platform in various ways. Making the detour into CICS is one of them, another would be to call a JAX-WS application in Java, or using the Compute Grid technology in WAS. The Modern Batch feature pack might also be of interest. If Batch processes are already running in CICS, the cost of invoking Web Services through CICS will be that much less - the environment is already established.

We need a feature to call webservices from batch, too. But I don't think that this is a feature that has to be provided by CICS. There should be a z/OS-framework to handle (at least HTTP) webservice-requests, providing a HLL-API that can be called from ASM, C, COBOL, PL/I...
