This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.
Welcome to the IBM Ideas Portal (https://www.ibm.com/ideas) - Use this site to find out additional information and details about the IBM Ideas process and statuses.
IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com) - Use this site to view all of your ideas, create new ideas for any IBM product, or search for ideas across all of IBM.

Whilst this requirement is valid, based on our current plans and priorities, it is not likely that this could be implemented in the next 12 months, or in the next CICS TS release. Correspondingly this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Transaction Processing
Product - CICS Transaction Server
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Transaction Processing
Product - CICS Transaction Server

Hello,
I often need to NEWCOPY all the programs from one dataset after a COMPRESS of the dataset. So a CEMT SET PROGRAM ALL NEWCOPY DSN(x.y.z) would be very helpfull.
Best regards,
Rainer Nowak

Yes, I am aware of the new capability in CICS Transaction Server 5.2. But what happens if you are still not on 5.2? And even if you are there is no need to define bundles and applications. This subject does not apply to user applications but to load libraries of vendor products.
Here an example:
CEDA Expand LIbrary( CONNECTS )
LIbrary : CONNECTS
Group : Y$AOR##
DEScription ==> LIBRARIES FOR CONNECTED PRODUCTS
Ranking ==> 20 1-9 ! 11-99
CRitical ==> No No ! Yes
Status ==> Enabled Enabled ! Disabled
DATA SET NAMES
DSNAME01 ==>
DSNAME02 ==>
DSNAME03 ==>
DSNAME04 ==>
DSNAME05 ==>
DSNAME06 ==> IZS.XV1.LOADCIC
DSNAME07 ==>
DSNAME08 ==>
DSNAME09 ==>
Because of new maintenance there is a new load library
CEDA Expand LIbrary( CONNECTS )
LIbrary : CONNECTS
Group : Y$AOR##
DEScription ==> LIBRARIES FOR CONNECTED PRODUCTS
Ranking ==> 20 1-9 ! 11-99
CRitical ==> No No ! Yes
Status ==> Enabled Enabled ! Disabled
DATA SET NAMES
DSNAME01 ==>
DSNAME02 ==> IZS.XV2.LOADCIC.NEXT
DSNAME03 ==>
DSNAME04 ==>
DSNAME05 ==>
DSNAME06 ==> IZS.XV1.LOADCIC
DSNAME07 ==>
So I would like to do a NEWC only for IZS.XV2.LOADCIC.NEXT after I have done a DISCARD and INSTALL of this LIBRARY definition.
Thanks and regards
Helmut Nimmerfall

Please can you give more details of the usecase and what is wanted here. What is the requirement for newcopying from a particular dataset or library ? Are you aware of the new capability in CICS Transaction Server 5.2 which provides for library definitions that are private to a particular applicaation version, which for example allows for more than one version of a cobol program to be active in a CICS region.
