PMR 14055,035,724: APPC, CICS and VTAM GENERIC RESOURCES

The Hub Model for APPC is a single point of failure.

Intoduction to my Problem:
I have two TOR/CICS e.g. CICSA and CICSB on a Z/OS SYSPLEX. CICSA and CICSB are both provider and requester.
Both TOR/CICS are IP - Provider and IP Requster as well as are APPC-Provider and APPC-Requester for a IMS on z/OS.
The Communication between CICS and IMS is asynchron and the CICS has an AUTOCONNECT=YES at the Connection/session Definition. Also CICS takes the Bind Request to one or more IMS-Subsystems

My Problem:
In the Case CICS is provider and IMS is requester:
The IMS-Application uses an implicite APPC - Call and it must use a CHANGE - CALL with APPC Descriprtors with the CICS-VTAM APPLID.
The IMS-Application does not know which one of the two CICS-Subsystems are active and thus does not know which APPC Description to use during the CHANGE CALL.

Possibel solution: take vtam generic ressource GRNAME=XXXXXXXX in SIT

a) if I use generic Ressource, the result would be: After restarting both CICS-Subsystems, one of the CICS-Subsystems should perform a bind to the IMS-LU. Then in the secondary CICS the APPC-Sessions are released, which leads me to the next problem.
Next problem:
If an IP-Request from the IP-Cleint is received in the secondary CICS-subsystem and the request must also be routed to the IMS-LU. Unfortunetly the secondary CICS does not have any connection to this IMS-LU!

This requirement has been evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. You have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be considered then.

    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - CICS Transaction Server

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
