GUI based BMS with CICS webservice backend

Is is possible to design a GUI front-end type BMS map and pass data via wsbind/wsdl to a back-end CICS program? The 3270 bridge is limited and not at all pretty.

This requirement has been evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in the next two CICS TS releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected. There are IBM Business partners such as Hostbridge and others who provide solutions in this area which would be worth evaluating.

We would not encourage BMS based terminal applications as Web Services - it's generally better to use commareas, and to separate presentation and display logic into separate application tiers. 3270 based Web services can be generated through the CICS Service Flow Editor and Runtime, but we don't encourage this approach.
