Support JSON for HTTP event adapter formats

We've received a request to create an event to pass data to GELF, a feature within the Graylog product to provide log structuring.

We would like to pass data to GELF using Common Base Event REST format. However this feature will only process messages in JSON however the current HTTP formats supported are XML only. I would be curious to see if the current HTTP event formats could also be extended to output in JSON as well.

    This requirement has been re-assessed. It is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12-24 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
