This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

We have cases where we want the ability to check for a partial user agent string.
Example: Not include the Windows Version.
In those cases it would work if rather than supplying a string length, we could use an * on the end of the string and we compare from the start of the string to the character before the *, e.g.
Example:
IBM_CICS_Explorer/5.4.0.201705302008 IBM_zOS_Explorer/3.1.0.201706061805*
would match
IBM_CICS_Explorer/5.4.0.201705302008 IBM_zOS_Explorer/3.1.0.201706061805 JRE/1.8.0 (Windows 7)
Thanks, Lisa
We would also like the ability to issue a User refined message to indicate that a version is not in the list of supported releases. Example: If a user tries to connect with an unsupported installation release we could have a message like: Unsupported BofA Release sent to the CICS Explorer Screen. It is important that the message is unique from the IBM Unsupported release that a occurs due to an IBM CICS/CICS Explorer version toleration issue.
Additionally; If there is a failure in the Whitelist Configuration we would like the error messages to go to a central location
