dynamic distribution of CICS-to-Java workload across the CICS regions Liberty JVM servers

A CICS link to a Java class uses the CICS program definition (PPT) to direct the request to the appropriate Liberty server. The program definition was either dynamically created by the @CICSProgram annotation in the Java class or predefined by an RDO Program definition. (The @CICSProgram annotation must be included as it registers the class with the Liberty server for CICS interaction). When the same Java class is installed in multiple Liberty servers of the same CICS region then only one Program definition will be installed in CICS. This results in all work being directed to the one instance and not across all the available instances. Thus resulting in a lack of resilience, workload distribution and an impact on our application high availability.
Therefore we need a way for duplicate Java class CICS Program entries to exist, each with a unique endpoint URI, and for CICS to dynamically distribute work across these endpoints in response to CICS API requests (RUN / START / LINK / ...).

We have assessed this requirement. We have no current plans for this to be implemented and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
