RELATED IDEAS

Remove the requirement for a transid to be specified so programs can be routed

Programs cannot be routed by CICS by their name alone. A transaction ID that can be routed also has to be specified.

This restriction in some cases forces the use of a customised routing program to route programs dynamically.

    CPSM accommodation of this requirement would be a complex implementation.  For some time we have know that customers would like to define programs for DPLs without the hassle of associating them with transaction ids, but CPSM is predicated on the dynamic routing of transactions only (arguably so is MRO as the function requires a Mirror transaction to operate).  A change to support the explicit routing of a program (rather than a transaction) would require some significant CPSM changes - possibly to CICS too.  At this time we have no plans to support this.
